Associate Director – Wills, Probate & Older Client Services
I specialise in helping individuals and families to organise their property and financial affairs so that they can be dealt with effectively and efficiently if they become unable to deal with things themselves through dementia, illness or accident.
I am a solicitor and a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly and the Probate Section of the Law Society with particular expertise in matters relating to the Court of Protection and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
I am a Dementia Friend and act as a professional attorney under a Lasting Power of Attorney or Deputy appointed by the Court of Protection for several clients who for various reasons do not have a relative or friend whom they can appoint. In these cases, I ensure that their savings and investments are properly managed, all their bills and care fees are paid promptly and I can organise the sale of their house if appropriate.
I also deal with Wills and Probate (the administration of the estate of a person who has died) and advise in estate planning. I act for the relatives or close friends of a deceased person in applying for probate and dealing with all their assets such as bank and building society accounts, pensions and can advise on the transfer or sale of a property.
