Coping with Dementia and Bereavement: One Person’s Experience

“I have been persuaded to write these notes after the death of my husband last year from the effects of vascular dementia. A year ago, I had never really found out anything about dementia, we just thought his condition was, at 80 plus years, a sign of his getting older and life up until a few months before he died was happy and enjoyable. I am probably one of very many people whose lives are suddenly afflicted by this awful terminal disease”
