Conveyancing

‘Conveyancing’ is the term used to describe the process whereby ownership of property is transferred from one party to another. That’s what we can do for you and it involves legal complexities which need the skills and abilities of experienced professionals.

guide-pdf-version It’s a technical and legal process, which has to be carried out correctly to be effective, or you may end up with ownership of a property that wasn’t what you wanted or expected – or no ownership at all.

A lender will only permit a firm of solicitors approved on their ‘panels’ to act on their behalf in connection with your mortgage or loan, so you need your lawyers to be reputable and established – otherwise there can be significant additional costs, and delays incurred in instructing ‘in house’ lawyers for lenders. We make no extra charge for acting in connection with the mortgage for your purchase and reporting to your lenders, and deal with their requirements for completion of the loan on your behalf.

The conveyancing teams in our offices are staffed with professionals. Your own dedicated conveyancer will handle, and be responsible for, the transaction from start to finish. State of the art systems mean that there will always be someone who can give you an up to date report on your matter, chase other parties and make enquiries for you, and answer any queries you may have – whether by phone, email or letter.
