Coventry and Warwickshire-based law firm Mander Hadley Solicitors has proudly announced that The Friendship Project will be its Charity of the Year for 2025.
The Friendship Project is a Warwickshire-wide charity that supports children and young people facing difficult home lives.
The charity pairs them with carefully vetted adult volunteers – known as “Older Friends” – to spend quality time together, whether that’s a trip to the cinema, a walk in the park, or simply a chance to chat and enjoy some time away from their usual routines.
Over the next year, Mander Hadley Solicitors will be running a calendar of fundraising activities to support the charity, with all proceeds going directly to The Friendship Project.
The firm has appointed two Charity Champions to lead the initiative – Dale Ball, Head of Operations and HR, and Kathryn Moore-Smith, Solicitor. Both are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the local community.
Dale Ball, said: “It is great to be supporting a local charity and giving something back to the community. Mander Hadley Solicitors has been around for over 100 years, and this aligns with our culture and commitment.”
Kathryn Moore-Smith, added: “Raising money for charity is my way of giving back to the local community. Choosing a charity that we can build a relationship with and really make a difference to is so fulfilling.
“I am really looking forward to organising some fun events throughout the year that everyone can get involved with.”
